St. Paul, MN, November 26, 2014 — This month Apex Information Technologies hosted its fourth annual Client Council in Minneapolis, gathering representatives from healthcare providers from across the U.S. Members of the Council, which doubled in size from last year’s, included revenue cycle managers from some of the largest health systems in their states.
The event focused on the best ideas from revenue cycle experts on issues such as 501R compliance, patient data integrity, and improvements in self-pay performance.
“Every year we gain powerful insights into what actually makes the most difference to our clients,” said Brian Kueppers, Apex founder and CEO. “These discussions directly inform our product development. It’s also exciting to share new and upcoming product features with clients — and to see their enthusiasm for how these innovations make a real day-to-day impact for in their jobs and in their business.”
A highlight of this year’s Client Council event was a customer panel. In this session — titled “What challenges are you facing?” — Apex consultants facilitated an exploration of current issues.
Carrie Romandine, Apex’s Vice President of Solutions and Services, presented a session titled “2014 Year in Review,” showcasing recent enhancements to Apex’s suite of web-based software offerings, including myEasyView® and mySecureBill®. Client Council members learned best practices to maximize their use of Apex’s online tools and received a sneak peak of what product enhancement initiatives are being developed to help them collect more, collect faster, and reduce the cost to collect.
“Since last year’s event, Apex has seen tremendous growth, with 61 new e-services customers and a 54% growth in the dollar value of online payments facilitated through our technology platform,” said Patrick Maurer. “We attribute much of this ongoing success to the feedback we receive from clients and partners during a time of significant industry change.”
In addition to open conversation with Apex executives and product managers, Client Council members participated in social networking to identify common problems and solutions.
