St. Paul, MN, August 20, 2013 — Apex Information Technologies announced new functionality of the company’s award-winning online billing platform, mySecureBill®. Apex clients, which include many of the nation’s largest healthcare providers, can now offer electronic delivery of patient billing statements to patients’ doxo accounts through Apex’s mySecureBill platform.
Each time a patient connects on doxo, their bills, account statements and EOB’s are automatically delivered and stored directly to their free doxo digital file cabinet, accessed online or via the doxo mobile app. Patients can organize all their accounts—for healthcare, and for other service providers like insurance, phone and cable, and banking—all in one place. Documents can be printed or downloaded at anytime, and easily backed up to the customer’s own hard drive or cloud storage service. Further, patients can quickly pay bills or set up auto-pay with user-specified limits.

Integration with doxo is one of several Apex offerings available for providers to enable and encourage patients to pay online:
- Paper statement delivery + one-time online payment. Patients can continue to receive paper statements and pay online with mySecureBill's provider-branded quick one-time payment feature. This feature does not require a username and password.
- Electronic statement delivery to mySecureBill Account + online payment. Patients can create a mySecureBill account to enroll in electronic statement delivery, pay their balance online (ACH and credit card), and access their archived billing history. Providers can integrate the provider branded online billing portal with an existing patient portal, to further boost adoption rates.
- Electronic Delivery to doxo Account + online payment. Patients can set up electronic delivery of their healthcare statements and other documents to their doxo account. doxo allows patients to receive, manage, and store multiple bills and documents, including EOBs, from multiple service providers and make online payments (ACH) in one central location, relieving patients of the need to create and maintain additional usernames and passwords.
Furthermore, Apex’s solution takes online payments a step further by providing consolidated and automated payment reports that streamline payment posting and decrease manual billing errors. The reports include patient payments made through mySecureBill, myEasyView (customer support tool for providers) and doxo, and then flow directly back to the provider’s billing systems.
